2012 Lavande

Named after the flourishing lavender fields that grow next to our vineyard, Lavande is a product entirely composed of our 45-year-old vines, Lavande is an accessible wine designed to exemplify the full fruit potential of our Merlot grapes. The Lavande went through a 14-day fermentation period followed by 22 months in neutral French Oak, allowing for the full expression of dried fruit characteristics including plums, black cherries, and pomegranates to come through.

The slightly acidic nature of the grapes is perfectly balanced with 2% residual sugar allowing all the fruit to come forward on the palate. Served slightly chilled, Lavande is a wonderful pairing with soft cheese, chocolates, and a warm summer’s day.
