NV Solidago
“Solidago” is the Italian term for “goldenrod”, an herb that is plentiful near our vineyard. As one of our only Italian style blends, Solidago is our take on a Super Tuscan style blend. Composed of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, this wine is as complex and exciting in flavor as its historical origins in Tuscany.
This Northern Italian-style blend exhibits hints of tart, red fruit, and high acidity that is characteristic of the Sangiovese base. Layers of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon bring out notes of black plum and round out the green peppercorn finish. We enjoy this as a perfect accompaniment to acidic foods and spicy tomato based sauces.
